Q: What is the CIMIS Web API?

The CIMIS Web API provides CIMIS data via REST web services.

Q: What does API stand for?

Application Programming Interface.

Q: Do I need to register for access?

You don't have to register to use the station and zip code services. However, weather data services require registration. Once you register and request your appKey from the CIMIS website you will receive an application key (aka appKey). You must pass the appKey as a parameter for all data requests.

Q: When is the release date?

The CIMIS Web API GA release occurred on December 17, 2012.
